• Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and nonprofits
• Conduct tax research and planning to identify opportunities that minimize client tax liabilities
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement internal tax policies, quality control procedures, and ensure compliance
• Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting teams to ensure alignment of financial data used in tax returns
• Review financial records, income statements, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations
• Review junior staff work and provide mentorship on complex tax matters
