About the role
- Manage day-to-day SAP operations and interfaces with third-party systems, including error analysis and resolution
- Independently handle payment processing for accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Review, code and post routine business transactions
- Execute dunning procedures and monitor open items
- Prepare and process daily payments
- Manage and hedge currency risks (foreign exchange management)
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting processes
Requirements
- At least a completed commercial vocational qualification, ideally with further training in accounting (e.g., Financial Accountant, Certified Balance Sheet Accountant or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Confident user of SAP ERP
- Structured, reliable and independent working style
- Team player with strong numerical skills
- Good written and spoken German and English
- Proficient in MS Office applications
