About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Play a key role within the applications development team, responsible for a highly customized Salesforce instance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop custom solutions that fit business goals across the entire campus.
  • Work with clients to translate business rules and functional specifications into requirements.
  • Work with supervision on a small development team that designs, develops, tests, and deploys software/web applications.
  • Identify and contribute to solutions to correct software defects through unit, integration, system, and customer acceptance testing.
  • Produce project documentation, including functional and technical designs, and end-user guides.
  • Help to create testing and implementation plans, including user training and documentation.
  • Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An earned Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Associate Salesforce Developer: Minimum of 1 year of experience with Salesforce Ecosystem systems and best practices, 1 year of experience with application and software development, and 1 year of experience with Apex and the Lightning Component Framework.
  • Journey Salesforce Developer: Minimum of 2+ years’ experience with Salesforce Ecosystem systems and best practices, as well as a Salesforce App Builder Certification.
  • Preferred: Experience in a higher education environment, particularly at a 4-year, large public R1 university, along with Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce App Builder certifications.
  • Some experience with or exposure to Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) is also desirable.
