About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to transition newly signed accounts post-sale and ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience
  • Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with 40–45 small, midsized, and enterprise corporate/government accounts
  • Provide direct sales, solution selling, ongoing relationship management, and account management support to drive increased revenue
  • Represent the University within the corporate and higher education community to increase awareness of University of Phoenix and its educational programs
  • Interact directly with corporate client stakeholders to address and resolve product and service questions and requests
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and Account Executives to secure and launch clients
  • Develop and execute account plans and client engagement, marketing, promotional, and event strategies
  • Serve as account owner and develop strategic engagement plans for corporate and government clients
  • Develop and deliver presentations to corporate client stakeholders and influencers
  • Maintain knowledge of markets, segments, and organizations to identify potential clients aligned with strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, employer clients, and University Academics to provide relationship management and identify client-focused academic offerings
  • Provide weekly progress reports to senior leadership against account performance targets
  • Update account plans in sales tracking platforms and prepare internal and external account review materials
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable markets and degree programs and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Execute engagement strategies across clients’ geographic footprints and define effective communications cadence and format
  • Serve as a B2B resource for Account Specialists to uncover direct student engagement opportunities
  • Attend approved Workforce Solutions events, including weeknights and weekends, and organize client events with leadership and corporate clients
  • Schedule and guide Engagement Representatives to fulfill agreed-upon event strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of related experience managing corporate relationships; business development and/or sales experience of non-tangible or service-oriented items
  • One (1) year of experience in the higher education market and industry, particularly as it relates to adult learners
  • Customer service oriented and able to achieve high levels of employer client tuition program satisfaction
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Able to effectively manage and perform work remotely from a home-based office with limited local supervision and maintain consistent accountability for key performance outcomes
  • Exceptional presentation skills to present to large audiences
  • Strong business acumen and ability to recognize and strategically pursue marketing and business development opportunities
  • Able to quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and excellent implementation of tasks/projects; strong commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Proven results in business development, specifically solution selling methodology
  • Able to multi-task and meet daily/weekly deadlines
  • Reliable transportation to attend client and/or community meetings or events
  • Availability for approved events outside standard business hours, including weeknights and weekends, with possible out-of-local or out-of-state travel
