About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designs and develops scalable software solutions, including back-end database structures and front-end interfaces tailored to departmental needs.
Builds and iterates on user-friendly front-end applications to facilitate efficient staff interaction with complex data systems.
Work with team leads and members to understand requirements, processes, and desired outcomes.
Translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain project plans and timelines to ensure timely project delivery.
Monitor database performance and optimize as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in basic software development, database design, development, and administration.
Proficiency in common programming and development languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, etc.).
Experience creating user-friendly front-end applications or interfaces for databases.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred:
Experience working in healthcare, education, or research environments, and family medical clinic data and workflow experience is preferred.
Knowledge of health informatics, data privacy, and security standards.
Familiarity with workflow automation tools and reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Experience supporting HR, operations, or academic program administration through database solutions.
Experience with SQL Server and .NET framework.
