Chief of Radiology, Physician
University HealthChief of Radiology managing radiology services and leading clinical excellence across various facilities. Strategic role focusing on operational improvement and emergency coverage in a hybrid capacity.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for radiology services across all system hospitals, ambulatory centers, and free-standing emergency departments.
- Maintain active clinical practice, delivering high-quality diagnostic interpretations within the system-owned group's standard clinical workflow.
- Serve as the clinical backstop, rapidly stepping into the reading rotation to cover unexpected physician callouts, sudden volume surges, or critical staffing shortages.
- Coordinate emergency triage schedules across both system-employed and independent contracted groups to ensure zero disruption to emergency department or inpatient imaging services.
- Manage independent physician contracts, serving as the primary administrator holding external private practice radiology groups accountable to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidate must have a MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
- Successful candidate must have completed a Radiology Residency program and be board certified/eligible in Radiology.
- Previous leadership experience is a plus.
