About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Under minimal supervision, responsible for coordinated school health tasks
- Coordinating school wide screenings with community partners
- Health and wellness promotion, data collection and disease surveillance
- Coverage of the health needs of students
- Data entry and health education as requested
- Facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
- Cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) protocol as requested and approved
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
- Experience working in a clinical setting
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Customer service skills
- Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA)
- Vital sign measurement
