About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for coordinated school health tasks including coordinating school wide screenings with community partners
  • Health and wellness promotion, data collection and disease surveillance
  • Coverage of the health needs of students
  • Data entry and health education as requested
  • Facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
  • May cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) protocol as requested and approved by HK supervisor and school administration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
  • Experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA)
  • Vital sign measurement
