About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides client-centered assessment, counseling, and case management services for individuals with substance use disorders (SUD)
  • Supports clients through telehealth by delivering evidence-based interventions
  • Coordinates care, and promotes long-term recovery in alignment with Hawaiʻi state CSAC standards and UHP policies
  • Works a minimum of 20 hours per week, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM based on client and program needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or related field
  • Current Hawaiʻi CSAC, CADC, LADC, SAP, or equivalent certification
  • Experience in substance use treatment, behavioral health, or related human services
  • Strong understanding of SUD treatment principles, recovery models, and community resources in Hawaiʻi
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), telehealth platforms, and digital communication tools
  • Excellent communication, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated cultural humility and commitment to equitable, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a remote environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a diverse caseload
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and confidentiality standards.
