About the role

  • Implement and maintain world-class video production, streaming, and broadcast systems
  • Ensure high quality video delivery across all platforms
  • Provide critical technical support, training, and oversight during productions
  • Work with broadcast professionals and UF students to ensure a safe environment
  • Collaborate with the UF College of Journalism’s Division of Media Properties and Technology Advancement Group
  • Engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Media Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in video engineering, live production, or broadcast operations
  • Knowledgeable of video standards (SDI, HDMI, IP Video, SMPTE, HDR, 4k/UHD)
  • Knowledgeable of audio signal flow and synchronization
  • Five years of remote sports production experience (preferred)
  • Experience with network infrastructure (VLANs, multicast, QoS, etc) (preferred)
  • Experience with computer systems (including hardware, troubleshooting and upgrades) (preferred)
  • Dante Level 2 or 3 Certification (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of fiber-based video and audio signal flow (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations (preferred)
