About the role

  • Development of web applications (frontend and backend) for medical data collection, analysis and visualization
  • Implementation and maintenance of REST or GraphQL APIs, and where applicable HL7 FHIR interfaces
  • Integration of databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Establishment of infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements (data protection, data security, medical device regulations MPG/MDR; e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 13485)
  • Collaboration with data scientists and analysts to implement data pipelines and visualizations
  • Contribute to software architecture design, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Technical documentation and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability
  • Participation in scientific publications and project/grant proposals

Requirements

  • Completed university degree (Master/Diploma/PhD) in Medical Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with modern frontend and backend technologies
  • Knowledge of databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB and/or semantic databases
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD, testing and agile development methods
  • Ideally, understanding of medical informatics standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently and solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good German and English language skills for our international team
