About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead multidisciplinary wound care teams across assigned care locations, conducting weekly wound rounds and house calls within your region
Deliver high-quality skin and wound care every visit, including assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor management, and minor surgical procedures
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies to guide care decisions and build individualized treatment plans aligned with UWH's Clinical Practice Guidelines
Maintain timely documentation in UWH's wound care EMR to track healing progress
Collaborate virtually with UWH's board-certified medical physicians and surgeons across wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease

Requirements

What you’ll need

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant/Associate (PA-C), licensed in the state of employment
1–2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience preferred but not required – extensive paid training is provided
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance – this role covers a regional territory
Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced clinical setting
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills – you’ll work with patients, families, nursing staff, and medical leadership daily
Self-starter who can schedule and manage appointments independently with punctuality and professionalism
