About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct technical analyses of tax planning and fiscal governance, evaluating risks, opportunities, financial impacts and applicable criteria for CNU’s operations.
  • Act as a technical reference on the Tax Reform, monitoring legislation, regulations, layouts and impacts of IBS/CBS, specific regimes, tax documents and ancillary obligations.
  • Define and review tax positions relevant to operations in the supplementary health and cooperative sectors, including ISS, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ, CSLL, withholdings, cooperative and non-cooperative acts, disallowances, reimbursements, pass-throughs and interchange.
  • Technically validate tax parameterizations, integrations, master data, tests and certifications in SAP and related systems, ensuring legal compliance and consistency with Accounting and Billing.
  • Prepare opinions, memoranda, executive presentations and technical notes to support leadership, Legal, Audit, tax inspections, litigation and strategic projects.
  • Establish monitoring criteria, KPIs and audit trails to strengthen governance of tax information and traceability of tax bases.
  • Work on high-complexity matters such as tax assessments, judicial deposits, regularizations, special regimes, analyses of debits/credits and responses to audits, acting as a technical reference.
  • Train the tax team and partnering areas on new criteria, regulatory changes and systemic impacts, without necessarily having formal team management responsibilities.
  • Lead CNU’s adaptation to the Tax Reform in a regulatory scenario still consolidating, with simultaneous impacts on operations, systems, tax documents, contracts, billing and governance.
  • Clearly separate the specialist’s strategic-technical scope from recurring routines of tax calculation, reconciliation and ancillary filings performed by senior analysts.
  • Ensure tax coherence in an environment with multiple municipalities, high transaction volume, the specificities of supplementary health and intense interaction with non-tax areas.
  • Translate complex rules into practical criteria, system configurations and actionable plans, preserving compliance and business perspective.
