About the role
- Analyze benefit claim files related to disability, long-term sick leave, unemployment, death and post-death matters
- Verify the admissibility of claims and the payment of benefits
- Review procedures and any potential regulatory changes or developments
- Participate in departmental projects and contribute to the development of practices and tools
Requirements
- Associate degree (Bac +2) in Insurance — required
- 5 years' experience in a claims handling role for borrower insurance
- Knowledge of ITT (temporary total incapacity) and/or IJ (daily allowance) benefits in individual protection insurance
- Legal training and an interest in medical matters are assets
- Attention to detail, organizational skills and versatility to manage varied case files
- Team player with the ability to work independently
