About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct system startups, shutdowns, and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in industrial refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including PSM/RMP and OSHA standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Provide emergency service and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Mentor junior technicians and support training initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- RETA certification (CIRO, CARO) or equivalent preferred.
- Strong understanding of PSM/RMP compliance and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (overnight travel will be required).
