About the role
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures
- Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and machinery to appropriate locations
- Measure, mark, and record layout dimensions for construction activities
- Operate pumps, compressors, or generators to power tools, equipment, or move materials
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using portable cement mixers
- Control and direct traffic around work zones
- Dig trenches or ditches, backfill excavations, and compact or level earth using hand and pneumatic tools
Requirements
- At least 1 year of general labor or construction experience
- Proficient in the use of hand and small power tools
- Understanding of construction materials, methods, and tools used in building and repair work
- Strong commitment to working safely and following all company policies and procedures
- Awareness of workplace safety standards and hazards
- Ability to operate tools and perform tasks in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Works effectively as part of a team
