About the role

  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures
  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and machinery to appropriate locations
  • Measure, mark, and record layout dimensions for construction activities
  • Operate pumps, compressors, or generators to power tools, equipment, or move materials
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete using portable cement mixers
  • Control and direct traffic around work zones
  • Dig trenches or ditches, backfill excavations, and compact or level earth using hand and pneumatic tools

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of general labor or construction experience
  • Proficient in the use of hand and small power tools
  • Understanding of construction materials, methods, and tools used in building and repair work
  • Strong commitment to working safely and following all company policies and procedures
  • Awareness of workplace safety standards and hazards
  • Ability to operate tools and perform tasks in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Works effectively as part of a team
