About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and deliver a monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy for the Research Programme on Gambling
- Establish a cross-programme monitoring and evaluation plan with the Head of RPG
- Support flagship investments with project-specific monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Support regular reporting to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport
- Engage with the investment portfolio to monitor progress against objectives and identify outcomes and impacts
- Contribute to logic models, theories of change, SMART objectives, baselines and metrics
- Support development of programme-level KPIs
- Develop reporting requirements, implement systems and manage regular reporting cycles
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate evidence-based insights
- Support commissioning and management of external evaluations
- Build internal and external relationships to collect data, case studies and impact evidence
- Work across UKRI councils and corporate functions
- Report to the Head of Research Programme on Gambling
Requirements
What you’ll need- Understanding of the UK research funding landscape and its broader societal impact
- Experience supporting monitoring and evaluation, analysis, programme delivery or similar functions
- Experience applying frameworks such as metrics or performance measures
- Ability to analyse, interpret and synthesise quantitative and qualitative data
- Experience contributing to reporting processes and producing high-quality written outputs
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
- Baseline Personnel Security Screening (BPSS) is a pre-condition of employment
- Ability to work occasional overnight stays and outside standard office hours
