Key responsibilities & impact

Provide dedicated finance expertise and business partnering to UKRI-MRC
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Support effective financial management of programmes
Identify opportunities for improvement within Finance
Ensure compliance with financial controls and reporting requirements
Lead on asset verification, capitalisation, and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA)
Strong understanding of accounting and finance
Extensive experience of financial modelling & controls
Demonstrable experience of month- and year-end financial processes
Demonstrable experience of working as a valued business partner
Experience in providing high-quality written/oral advice
Proven experience in the preparation of complex budgets
