About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with customers through in-person, appointment, and virtual channels
- Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
- Obtain and process customer and account information
- Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
- Recommend solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up with clients
- Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products, services, and digital offerings
- Greet clients and process basic transactions
- Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
- Open new consumer and business accounts
- Complete service requests and submit credit applications
- Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services
- Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically a minimum of three to four years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Must complete the NMLS registration process, including a criminal background and credit check
- Must maintain satisfactory criminal and credit records to retain NMLS registration and employment
- Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to identify customers’ true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
- Basic proficiency in making appropriate reactive and proactive recommendations
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies, procedures, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
- Must be eligible to work in U.S. Bank facilities located in the United States and certain U.S. territories
