About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Underwrite all types of credit account exposure
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of Institutional Client Group credit relationships in investment and non-investment grade energy industries
  • Successfully close new business relationships and expand existing relationships
  • Manage credit risk and respond to prospect or customer credit questions
  • Make independent calls on assigned portfolio relationships
  • Provide customer service
  • Participate in joint sales calls with Relationship Managers
  • Identify customer needs
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to manage energy lending credit relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to seven years of commercial banking experience
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial/corporate lending and credit standards, policies, procedures and products
  • Strong relationship management and business development skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Oil and gas underwriting experience, specifically Reserve Based Lending, preferred
  • Knowledge of nCino or other credit platform preferred
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Applicants must be able to comply with applicable employment eligibility and regulatory requirements
