About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage one or more retail bank branches to ensure business goals are met and banking laws and regulations are followed
  • Demonstrate and ensure an excellent customer experience aligned with U.S. Bank culture and core values
  • Coach, develop, mentor, train, recognize, and supervise team members
  • Identify customers’ financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services
  • Help individual and business customers reach financial goals through collaboration with wealth, business banking, mortgage, and payment services partners
  • Lead customer experience initiatives and provide team motivation and direction
  • Expand the customer base and promote U.S. Bank products and services in the local market and community
  • Identify opportunities, obstacles, and trends to meet business objectives
  • Contribute to strategy objectives and lead district or market projects and initiatives at higher levels
  • Support employee growth, performance management, and a culture of support
  • Ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of banking or retail management experience
  • Branch Manager 3: typically 3 to 4 years of banking or retail management experience
  • Branch Manager 4: typically 4 to 5 years of banking and/or retail management experience
  • Branch Manager 5: typically 5 years of banking and/or retail management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is typically expected for Branch Manager levels 3, 4, and 5
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory registration requirements
  • Satisfactory criminal and credit record for NMLS registration
  • Compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements
  • Adaptive coaching, conflict resolution, accountability, influence, critical thinking, priority setting, relationship management, and business insights
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies, procedures, workplace conduct, and safety policies
