About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a staff of professional Credit Analysts
  • Oversee determination of information needed for credit quality analysis
  • Ensure gathering, analysis, and interpretation of credit information
  • Analyze existing loan portfolios or prospective loans to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential losses
  • Act as a consultant on credit quality analysis
  • Develop and communicate a consistent organizational approach to evaluating credit quality
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of computer systems for managing credit information and analyzing credit data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six to seven years of relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy, and financial statement analysis
  • Proficient analytical skills related to reviewing various forms of asset collateral documentation
  • Ability to analyze credit decisions, including consumer, commercial, real estate, and international finance
  • One to two years of leadership experience
  • Strong management, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Ability to comply with applicable requirements that may include FINRA, NMLS registration, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, and SAFE Act requirements, depending on position
