About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform loan analysis verification activities
  • Work with customers, bankers, vendors, and underwriters through inbound telephone support and outbound pipeline ownership
  • Help customers and bankers understand the loan approval process and underwriting requirements
  • Analyze specific loan transactions and review documentation for approval
  • Resolve operational issues
  • Understand and manage required stipulations to efficiently move loans through the loan approval process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • One or more years of relevant experience
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Completion of the required NMLS registration process, including a criminal background and credit check
  • Knowledge of underwriting and loan origination functions, systems, procedures, products and/or services, and applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of applicable credit products, programs, financial analysis, and related documentation
  • Knowledge of U.S. Bank policies and procedures for Direct Lending processing and underwriting
  • Knowledge of U.S. Bank systems used to access loan status information
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
