About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build relationships with customers through face-to-face engagement and provide banking counsel
- Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
- Obtain and process customer and account information
- Educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services
- Recommend financial solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
- Originate and close consumer loans
- Open accounts
- Open and/or close the branch
- Travel to assigned branch clusters within the district
- Cover traditional branches and in-store locations on a flexible schedule
- Report to the float pool manager at market level
- Act as a role model within supported branches
- Handle security and operational processes and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically five or more years of job-related retail banking experience, or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
- Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions
- Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to identify customers’ true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
- Advanced proficiency in making appropriate proactive and reactive recommendations meeting customer needs
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Ability to handle security and operational processes and procedures
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- NMLS registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Must complete required criminal background and credit checks
- Must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
- Must work from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days
- Must be able to drive two or more hours per week
