About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join a client-focused Trade Services team that serves as a key link between clients and internal operational partners.
Support both domestic and international trade activity, helping ensure client needs are met while coordinating closely with multiple business lines across the organization.
Manage and coordinate the operational activities for Trade Services through staff.
Ensure quality service and effective securities operations activities for all supported internal and external customers.
Accomplish results through the effective management of staff ranging from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals.
Administer corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Participate in the preparation of the department's budget, and be accountable for managing expenses and actively contributing to the achievement of department net income goals.
Proactively manage operational risks including the identification of control gaps and design of operational controls to mitigate risks and financial exposure to the organization.
Participate in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
Three to five years of management experience
Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking business lines and clients
Familiarity with systems and platforms such as: DTC, FED, SWP, Trust 3000, ARES
Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
Additional one to three years experience managing Managers preferred
