About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join a client-focused Trade Services team that serves as a key link between clients and internal operational partners.
  • Support both domestic and international trade activity, helping ensure client needs are met while coordinating closely with multiple business lines across the organization.
  • Manage and coordinate the operational activities for Trade Services through staff.
  • Ensure quality service and effective securities operations activities for all supported internal and external customers.
  • Accomplish results through the effective management of staff ranging from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals.
  • Administer corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in the preparation of the department's budget, and be accountable for managing expenses and actively contributing to the achievement of department net income goals.
  • Proactively manage operational risks including the identification of control gaps and design of operational controls to mitigate risks and financial exposure to the organization.
  • Participate in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
  • Three to five years of management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking business lines and clients
  • Familiarity with systems and platforms such as: DTC, FED, SWP, Trust 3000, ARES
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
  • Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
  • Additional one to three years experience managing Managers preferred
