About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee a team responsible for specialized reconciliation, balancing, and exception management activities within Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking Operations (WCIBO)
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 9–10 employees located across two sites.
  • Support daily operations related to off-cycle reconciliation and balancing activities performed on weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and accountability to team members while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct performance, development, and employee engagement conversations.
  • Learn and understand team processes, workflows, and operational requirements to effectively support the team's success.
  • Review operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance controls.
  • Partner with stakeholders and business partners to resolve operational exceptions and support issue resolution efforts.
  • Promote consistency and alignment across teams, processes, and operating practices.
  • Support ongoing operational initiatives, including process improvement and automation efforts.
  • Develop an understanding of bonds and money market instrument (MMI) operational activities and support the team in those functions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and/or services supported by the assigned area(s)
  • Understanding of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable products, programs, financial analysis and related documentation as applicable
  • Good organizational, managerial and project management skills
  • Well-developed customer relations skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent supervisory and management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
