About the role

  • Supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of purchased applications or application frameworks
  • Participates in the design configuration, problem diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of application systems and/or user group profiles
  • Validates system functionality after changes
  • Applicant will work with third party application that monitors the health of the USBANK Retail ATM fleet
  • Primary responsibilities will include: Monitoring of extensive background services responsible for messaging and transaction processing
  • Understanding and becoming an expert in the application to perform administration functions that are extensive
  • Working with senior developers and assisting in comprehensive testing of changes
  • Document, understand testing, test case documentation
  • Working and providing feedback to third party vendor as needed to perform the job
  • Application dashboard creation and reporting creation using internal application tools or approved USBANK external reporting tools
  • Sharing On Call responsibilities with team-mates
  • One week out of 5

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Five plus years of experience in application development
  • Moderate experience with observability tools including AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, SiteScope, Splunk, Elastic, and Datadog
  • Hands On experience in application and systems support operations
  • Ability to write SQL queries and PowerShell scripting
  • Drools, Groovy a big plus
  • Experience with Software Automation testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of IT environment
  • Knowledge/practical use of IT service, change and problem management
  • Working knowledge of system software infrastructure, distribution and installation/support
  • Ability to learn
  • Working knowledge of IT monitoring and observability
  • Working knowledge of hardware infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with co-workers, customers and management
