About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • U.S. Bank is seeking an Application Developer with design and development experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.
  • Join a team of innovative developers responsible for maintaining and enhancing U.S. Bank’s Customer Information System (CIS) as well as Hogan Online Delivery System (ODS) & Hogan Platform Automation Support (PAS).
  • Work closely with business partners to develop requirements, designs, and write technical specifications.
  • Design or redesign complex mainframe processes within the Hogan CIS, ODS & PAS platforms.
  • Collaborate with other application development teams maintaining quality, security, and compliance.
  • Strive to deliver work with the customer in mind and understands the value of what they’re building.
  • Understand the organization’s strategy and how the engineering culture aligns to this.
  • Recognize how the product works and the overall purpose and impact of the product.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to six years of relevant experience
  • Hands on Mainframe development experience with Hogan COBOL, JCL, CICS, Json and Splunk, IMS Database, Gitlab, IDz/RDz (IBM Developer for zOS), Jira
  • Strong experience with Application maintenance, design, architecture & System testing
  • Experience in System development life cycle, IT standards, procedures, policies.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective cross team interaction and collaboration , with both technical and business partner teams .
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy .
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving.
