About the role
- Develop profitable new business account relationships and increase profitability from existing accounts
- Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services
- Make sales presentations to existing and prospective clients informing them of benefits of the organization’s products and services
- Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales
- Manage ongoing account relationships with existing customers
- Establish and maintain internal relationships and good public relationships with the community to enhance the organization's image and develop new business
- Focus on Hospitality and Leisure industries across the United States as an outside sales consultant
- Build strong relationships with internal partners while actively engaging external leads and prospects
- Participate in a performance-based incentive pay program tied to new business generation
- Travel and drive to client and bank partner meetings across the United States (10+ hours driving/week)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically nine or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and expertise selling to hospitality and leisure industries is required
- Experience selling merchant payments solution is a bonus
- Established track record in sales and involvement in industry
- Considerable knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations
- Effective pipeline management across leads (self-generated, partner and marketing leads) and opportunities
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
- Ability to creatively resolve complex problems with general guidance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to secure meetings with C-Suite decision makers
- Ability to travel anywhere in the United States
- Ten or more hours of driving per week conducting meetings with bank partners and clients
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and background check requirements (E-Verify and other regulatory/registration checks as applicable)
