About the role

  • Build relationships with customers, engaging via multiple channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs; obtain and process customer and account information
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services and recommend solutions
  • Proactively outreach and follow up with clients; explore and identify customers’ true needs
  • Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services including digital products
  • Provide consistent optimal client experience including greeting clients and processing basic transactions
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve clients with operational excellence and accuracy
  • Role requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act and Regulation Z and may involve criminal and credit background checks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Client Relationship Consultant 1: Typically 1 to 2 years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Client Relationship Consultant 2: Typically 3 to 4 years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Client Relationship Consultant 3: Typically 4 to 5 years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Client Relationship Consultant 4: Typically 5 or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration; will undergo criminal background and credit check
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies including Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • May be subject to background checks and regulatory requirements (FDIA Section 19, FINRA, NMLS, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, SAFE Act)
