About the role
- Provide value-added tax services to investment companies and investment advisors within U.S. Bank Global Fund Services
- Assist with review of alternative investment taxable income calculations, including book-to-tax differences, allocations to partners, and annual or quarterly provisions
- Assist with review and preparation coordination of federal and state tax returns (IRS Forms 1120, 1120-F, 1065) and Schedule K-1/K-3s and state/local tax forms
- Coordinate distribution of tax forms and supporting schedules to investors/partners
- Assist with tax technical research and review of financial reporting guidance, including foreign withholding tax and reporting requirements
- Manage multiple tax engagements and project deadlines while working closely with internal business departments
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and regional/Big 4 accounting firms
- Mentor and train new and existing team members through one-on-one or group sessions
- Participate in internal training programs and pursue career growth opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of related work experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting degree preferred
- 4-8 years of professional tax experience preferred in public accounting or industry with corporate or flow-through entity taxation
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- GoSystem Tax software or K1x experience a plus
