About the role
- Approve extensions of credit and/or make recommendations to final lending decision-makers on new, renewal and extension loans
- Conduct complete credit analyses by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers
- Review customer accounts and portfolios to identify, evaluate and determine appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss
- Use technological tools and software to assist in credit analysis, compare and evaluate possible courses of action, and make recommendations or decisions after consideration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically four or more years of relevant experience
- Strong credit analysis and analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis
- Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance
- Effective technical report writing skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages
- Master's degree or CPA certification preferred
- May be subject to background checks and registrations (FINRA, NMLS, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, NFA, FCPA, Bank Secrecy Act, SAFE Act)
