About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develops profitable business account relationships and increased profitability from existing and new accounts
  • Identifies business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services
  • Makes sales presentations to existing and/or prospective clients informing them of benefits of using the organization's products and services to meet their needs
  • Implements and maintains an effective referral network and call program to promote sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Seven to nine or more years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to travel (local and regional, some national)
  • Well-developed sales and new business development skills, including the development of sales strategies and goals and closing skills
  • Prior business credit card sales experience
  • Experience working with businesses $10MM+ in annual revenue
  • Thorough knowledge of unit payment products
  • Basic knowledge of the organization and its products, services and operations
  • Basic knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations
  • Strong marketing, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service/relation skills with ability to creatively resolve client concerns and issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles related to financial transactions
