About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for analysis, underwriting, and collaborating with bankers on extensions of credit
  • Conducts a complete credit analysis including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting all types of credit information
  • Reviews customer accounts and portfolios to identify, evaluate, and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues
  • May use technological tools to assist in the credit analysis process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in commercial underwriting
  • Strong credit analysis and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of personal and business analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable handling a wide variety of credit request and borrower types
  • Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance
  • Effective technical report writing skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, such as nCino, CreditLens, and Hogan
