About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify review requirements and processes suitable for system-driven testing, including automated and data-driven testing approaches.
- Partner with data analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to understand underlying data sources, validate data integrity, and execute system-driven testing to support review conclusions.
- Provide data testing results in a clear, and useful manner, to support review conclusions.
- Identify control, process, and data weaknesses and support root cause analysis and inform remediation insights.
- Lead and support initiatives to enhance IRRA review methodologies and enablement capabilities through the use of data, analytics, and enabling technologies.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to Analysts, ensuring consistency and adherence to IRRA standards.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing work based on evolving organizational goals and risk priorities with limited direction.
- Contribute to operational excellence by supporting process improvement efforts that improve review efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than six years of applicable experience
- Experience in data analysis, process facilitation and project management.
- Strong understanding of financial services, risk management, including regulatory compliance requirements, operational and credit risk assessment, and regulatory trends.
- Advanced knowledge of business line operations, products, systems, and associated risks.
- Familiarity with data procurement, analysis, and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, Tableau) preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, CIA) preferred.
