About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage data governance capabilities, such as metadata, data lineage, data quality, etc. for various workloads within a cloud and across cloud environments
- Develop with guidance and implement scalable data governance solutions for data pipelines ingestion, transformation, and storage to ensure meeting various data governance requirements
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to networks, job failures, and performance bottlenecks
- Provide on-call support and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations
- Work across functional teams and business lines to support data governance solutions in the cloud
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two to four years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Linux and distributed systems
- Proficient with Java, Shell scripting, Python, Spark languages
- Experience in data governance and technologies such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Snowflake and Collibra
- Good understanding in agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve system failures
- Experience in cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud or AWS
- Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
