About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage relationships with customers and internal Production and/or Syndications Business Development Officers in negotiating terms of construction lending and equity investments.
  • Engage third party professionals in coordinating the drafting, collection, and review of documents and financial projections necessary to close the lending opportunities and support the Bank’s investments.
  • Coordinate with internal employee teams in preparing and funding initial closing funds and transition closed loans to the portfolio management and asset/fund management departments for ongoing maintenance and management.
  • Participate in the establishment of policies and procedures necessary for accomplishing the group's tasks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically Bachelor's degree and six or more years of related experience
  • Or, MBA/JD with three or more years of directly related experience
  • Working knowledge of risk assessment and evaluating construction and permanent loan requests and basic knowledge of evaluating targeted returns from investments
  • Experience with construction finance, legal documentation and requirements, real estate property management, and accounting
  • Strong systems knowledge including appraisal ordering and review, precision lender, and nCino credit package approvals
  • General real estate background
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, communicate deliverable timelines clearly in verbal and written communication.
