About the role
- Perform financial analysis, credit monitoring, and portfolio management activities in accordance with bank credit policies and underwriting standards within the Internal Asset Review (IAR) group
- Oversee accurate and consistent spreading of borrower financial statements in accordance with bank spreading standards and credit policies
- Prepare quarterly trend analyses, monitoring reports, and covenant compliance testing
- Analyze financial data and prepare clear, comprehensive written credit analyses
- Review annual credit files, including validating and adjusting financial spreads
- Manage quarterly monitoring for loans over $10MM and annual monitoring for most loans
- Monitor portfolio credit quality and assist with industry and sector reviews
- Track and monitor problem credits through the PCMR system, including quarterly reviews of watch‑listed credits
- Conduct covenant testing to ensure compliance with credit agreements
- Perform limited sponsor reviews for select relationships above defined thresholds
- Contact clients for clarification or additional financial information as needed
- Address unique credit situations, including asset ownership changes and borrower or guarantor changes, and support related client communications
- Maintain a compliance monitoring and financial statistics database tracking credit agreement requirements, receipt of required borrower financial reporting, key credit metrics and trend data
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of credit documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements
- Manage a high volume of work while maintaining strong attention to detail
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Up to one year of experience in a finance, analytical, or related role
- Educational background in economics, accounting, or finance, with the ability to apply concepts to credit and lending analysis
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize financial information into clear, well‑supported conclusions
- Effective technical and analytical report‑writing skills
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills, including comfort communicating by phone with internal partners and clients when needed
- Intermediate Excel skills required; familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite expected
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time‑management skills to effectively manage a high volume of credit reviews
- High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and completeness
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Coachable mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow in credit analysis and portfolio management
