About the role

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
  • Design, build, and maintain features end-to-end in the business banking platform.
  • Building dashboards and digital products using Micro front end architecture principles.
  • Work with fellow Architects, Engineers to effectively plan and execute on new features with stability, scalability, testability, and performance in mind.
  • Ensure the technical designs are clear, well thought out, and considers dependencies, failure states, maintainability, testability and ease of support.
  • Contribute to the architecture of a complex online banking platform.
  • Work on migrating our microapps to Azure cloud platform.
  • Make design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
  • Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards.
  • Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
  • Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.
  • Ensure the delivery of a quality product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Java (Java EE / Java 8+) & Spring Boot expertise building scalable, enterprise-grade services
  • Strong experience designing RESTful APIs, with solid understanding of API security (OAuth, JWT) and microservices resilience
  • Hands‑on cloud‑native development experience using Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
  • Proficient with Kubernetes, containers, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Rancher)
  • Experience with API gateways & CI/CD tools such as Apigee, Jenkins, CloudBees, and Git-based workflows
  • Strong data skills across RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Experience with event‑driven systems and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka (Spark a plus)
  • Agile, product‑minded engineer with strong problem‑solving, collaboration, and communication skills; financial services experience a plus
