About the role
- Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
- Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
- Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
- Receive, map and reconcile periodic collateral data.
- As required, make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers.
- As required, perform portfolio compliance tests on a selection of structured fixed income deals (trade testing).
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payment and/or tax reports.
- Coordinates with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
- Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
- Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors and rating agencies.
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience with VBA, SQL, and at least one modern scripting language such as Python
- Demonstrated ability to build tools from scratch, not just maintain existing solutions
- Proven experience debugging and resolving complex technical issues across VBA, SQL, and Python
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver solutions in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or capital markets
- Familiarity with CLOs, structured finance, or loan products
- Experience supporting reporting, reconciliations, or middle‑office operations
- Exposure to databases and reporting platforms commonly used in financial environments
- Experience improving or replacing Excel‑based EUCs with more scalable solutions
