About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the maintenance of installed infrastructure technologies as well as the installation and configuration of these technologies within a specific area.
- This may include infrastructure as code, programming, scripting languages, multi-cloud environments, system engineering and software development.
- Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to specific projects and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements which may include platforms and systems such as Azure, AWS, CSP, API, microservices.
- Responsible for creating on-prem and public cloud systems for communication, sharing, storage and backup of data, including big-data analysis.
- This role may provision, manage, monitor, and decommission cloud services, including automating provisioning and management of infrastructure in a distributed environment through scripting.
- May be involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical network components.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of relevant experience
- Python (required): hands-on experience developing automation, tooling, or platform services supporting API or middleware workloads.
- Ansible (required): proven experience building and maintaining roles/playbooks for middleware, API platforms, or supporting infrastructure.
- Strong experience with open source automation tools and infrastructure-as-code approaches (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Git-based workflows).
- Demonstrated experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines for middleware, APIs, or shared platforms.
- Hands-on experience supporting virtualized, cloud, and containerized infrastructure, particularly for always-on, latency-sensitive API workloads.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts relevant to APIs and middleware, such as load balancing, ingress/egress, TLS, and service-to-service communication.
