About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop database automation for NoSQL Databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Couchbase and RDBMS like (PostgreSQL, DB2, Sybase)
  • Apply server OS & database security patching
  • Collaborate with development teams to support agile release cycles and cloud-native applications
  • Develop scripts and automation tools using Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Unix Shell
  • Participate in off hours code deployments, disaster recovery exercises and be part of our on call support rotation (approx. one week every 2 months)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on experience of administering(DBA) with any one or more NoSQL Databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Couchbase and RDBMS like (PostgreSQL, DB2, Sybase)
  • Experience with database install, security, risk, audit, monitoring, access control, backup/restore, patching, vulnerability management using automation tool like Ansible
  • Experience in Linux based systems
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (Network, IAM, IaaS, PaaS etc.)
  • Extensive experience of Azure (PaaS – RDMBS and NoSQL)/AWS Database Services (RDBMS – RDS and NoSQL) and other native services
  • Strong experience with DevOps methodology and tooling (GitLab or GitHub, VSCode etc)
  • Experience in programing language, specifically python or C#
  • Excellent documentation and articulation skills
