About the role

  • Serve as a thought leader, coordinator and implementation manager for credit risk management strategy initiatives
  • Responsible for portfolio management of CRE and Impact Finance portfolios
  • Identify emerging risks and manage risk appetite through risk limits and credit policies
  • Develop pro-active and forward-looking viewpoints regarding the industry/portfolio
  • Prepare management reports and presentations on credit-focused initiatives
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk Management and U.S. Bank business units to identify and manage risks
  • Work with centralized reporting team to maintain relevant reporting and perform scenario analysis
  • Maintain relationships with peers in Credit Strategy and broader CRM organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or similar
  • Understanding of basic credit risk management concepts
  • 1st line and/or 2nd line experience related to underwriting and/or credit risk portfolio management preferred
  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends
  • Broad understanding of Commercial Real Estate credit risk processes and governance programs
  • Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
  • Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications
