About the role

  • Shape Direct Sales Strategy: Define the vision, strategic direction, and operational plans needed to exceed customer expectations and sales goals.
  • Accelerate Revenue Growth: Responsible for driving annual sales revenue growth, including forecasting performance and tracking results.
  • Enhance Sales Effectiveness: Identifies opportunities for efficiency and growth, and drives the development of collateral material, sales training, operational procedures, and systems requirements to ensure sales personnel are set up for success.
  • Build a High-Performing Sales Organization: Manage a team of 50+ sales personnel and leaders.
  • Compliance: Ensures compliance with all U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures such as the Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc.

Requirements

  • 10 years of banking experience
  • 8 or more years of sales management/leadership experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
  • Proven experience in sales management and business development
  • Knowledge of banking products
  • Experience in team leadership, mentorship, and performance management
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influence/partnership skills
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms
