About the role
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
- Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
- Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices
- Performs analysis on failures and proposes design changes
- Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in focus
- Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on best practices
- Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development comply with best practices
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
- Practical, hands-on experience with modern data platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Azure
- Data modeling and schema design in Snowflake
- Knowledge of Snowflake's security, roles, and access controls
- Experience working with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks
- Building ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark or Scala in Databricks
- Familiarity with Delta Lake architecture and optimization
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure
- Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
- Complete understanding of a feature, the users impacted, the flows impacted and feature's purpose
- Thorough understanding of the team's domain and its relation to overall business strategy
