About the role
- Maintain the general ledger and records of mutual funds, exchange-traded fund, local government investment pools and closed-end funds of varying complexity
- Produce end of day net asset value calculation
- Prepare daily general ledger accounting, prime broker/bank cash reconciliations, advisor/portfolio management processing, corporate action applications, expense accrual/payment postings
- Conduct daily net asset value and mill rate determinations, portfolio pricing analysis/validations, and timely internal/external information distributions
- Collaborate with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies and prime brokers/custodian relationships on compliance, audit and financials
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of experience in accounting or finance activities
- Previous Fund Accounting experience
- Experience working with exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
