About the role
- US Bancorp’s Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group specializes in the origination, structuring and syndication of fixed income securities for investment grade corporations and partnerships
- DCM analysts support senior professionals in client coverage and deal execution, including deal preparations, investor marketing, due diligence, documentation/filings, sales team memos, investor and orderbook analysis, credit approval
- Analyze macroeconomic, interest rate and corporate bond market conditions
- Perform credit, sector, comparable company and relative value analyses
- Create tailored presentation materials for client pitches and compose market update summaries
- Run models to determine financial impact of liability management transactions and collaborate with deal team members and sales & trading partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date
- Major/concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, or a related field with a target graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 2026
- Previous industry experience, such as Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance/Treasury, Sales & Trading
- Working knowledge of a Bloomberg Terminal
- Ability to start the fulltime development program in summer 2026
- Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated understanding of the economy, capital markets and financial statement analysis
- Financial modeling, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
- High levels of personal motivation and intellectual capacity
- Comfort functioning both independently and as part of a team
