About the role
- Support identity fraud mitigation and vendor efficacy evaluations for U.S. Bank
- Identify fraud risks (1st Party, 3rd Party, Account Take Over, Account Origination) and recommend mitigation
- Evaluate potential risk mitigation solutions and assess financial impact for fraud and identity controls
- Create cost-benefit analyses estimating fraud loss reduction, operational expense, and revenue impacts
- Perform ad hoc analysis using SAS, SQL, R, Python or similar to tie multiple data sources together
- Engage in vendor management activities: invoice reconciliation, contract evaluation, issue management
- Assist finance with budget forecasting and be business-line representative for vendor impacts
- Complete post-implementation validation of fraud mitigation tools and track performance metrics
- Produce process flows, utilization strategies and analytically driven executive presentations
- Support model risk governance requirements and assist in securing approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically 6+ years of applicable experience
- Strong SAS/SQL programming skills (SAS, SQL) and familiarity with R or Python
- Fraud domain expertise across 1st Party, 3rd Party, Account Takeover and Account Origination
- Experience performing financial impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis and forecasting
- Vendor management experience including invoice reconciliation and contract evaluation
- Strong analytical skills relative to financial management and forecasting fraud loss trends
- Strong project management skills and ability to track/monitor projects, data and metrics
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and executive presentation experience
- Root cause analysis skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis software
