Key responsibilities & impact

Design software architecture
Deliver high-complexity development tasks as part of a team
Lead and influence collaborative meetings with peers and stakeholders
Interact with stakeholders to create requirements and demonstrate work
Document code and establish software product engineering best practices
Review and correct others' work
Act as a knowledge resource within the team
Define project priorities and identify resolutions using judgment and experience
Lead by example in designing and improving processes, procedures and platforms
Design, code and debug applications in multiple software languages or tools
Develop software solutions by studying information needs, user requirements, systems flow, data usage and work processes
Perform unit and integration testing
Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define, design and ship new features
Write and maintain technical documentation
Research new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performance
Participate in project planning, including estimating timeframes and resource requirements
Manage tasks and deadlines for timely project delivery
Ensure software security and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Implement data protection and security measures
Gather customer or end-user requirements and provide support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's, Master's Degree, or a significant amount of relevant experience
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field preferred
5+ years of relevant and practical experience
Expert programming skills in multiple languages or software tools
Expertise in multiple front-end and back-end frameworks
Expertise in data engineering
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code design patterns
Knowledge of Version Control, DevOps and CI/CD design patterns
Proficiency in monitoring and alerting
Technical writing and diagramming skills
Technical, business or data analysis skills
C/C++ in a Unix environment
ksh or bash scripting, preferably with AIX
