About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The On-site Construction Monitoring Resident Inspector’s main responsibility is to help the corresponding On-Site Supervisors in monitoring the EPC Contractor’s civil, structural, and electrical work according to Client's target for Project Budget-Schedule-Quality bounds.
The Construction Monitoring Resident Inspector shall carry out daily inspections and evaluation of the civil, structural, and electrical work performed by the contractor throughout the construction phase of the project.
Monitor EPC Contractor’s construction work for compliance with project design, contractual requirements, and applicable permits, laws, and regulations.
Perform quality inspections to ensure contract requirements are met.
Attend POD meetings and project review meetings and provide support to the Resident Supervisors and Construction Monitoring Manager in overseeing EPC Contractor work and resolving issues arising therefrom.
Verify that as-built drawings are according to execution.
Monitor completion of any punch list items by Contractor.
Responsible for gathering field information representative of EPC's contractor performance following directions from the Aztec’s Resident Supervisors.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with nine (9) years in construction supervision and inspection of large infrastructures
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field with five (5) years in construction supervision and inspection of large infrastructures
Mid-level user skills with Microsoft Office suite/Teams software.
Familiar with the ‘Procore’ document management software.
Experience with large-scale renewable energy projects is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
Must be a good communicator and team player
Must demonstrate ability to provide excellent client service
Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.
