About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The On-site Construction Monitoring Resident Inspector’s main responsibility is to help the corresponding On-Site Supervisors in monitoring the EPC Contractor’s civil, structural, and electrical work according to Client's target for Project Budget-Schedule-Quality bounds.
- The Construction Monitoring Resident Inspector shall carry out daily inspections and evaluation of the civil, structural, and electrical work performed by the contractor throughout the construction phase of the project.
- Monitor EPC Contractor’s construction work for compliance with project design, contractual requirements, and applicable permits, laws, and regulations.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Attend POD meetings and project review meetings and provide support to the Resident Supervisors and Construction Monitoring Manager in overseeing EPC Contractor work and resolving issues arising therefrom.
- Verify that as-built drawings are according to execution.
- Monitor completion of any punch list items by Contractor.
- Responsible for gathering field information representative of EPC's contractor performance following directions from the Aztec’s Resident Supervisors.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with nine (9) years in construction supervision and inspection of large infrastructures
- Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field with five (5) years in construction supervision and inspection of large infrastructures
- Mid-level user skills with Microsoft Office suite/Teams software.
- Familiar with the ‘Procore’ document management software.
- Experience with large-scale renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
- Must be a good communicator and team player
- Must demonstrate ability to provide excellent client service
- Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.
